The Parochial Church of Santa Cruz houses in the annexes adjacent to the building a museum space, organized according to the typologies and/or themes divided into six expository cores: Figurine Art Core, Jewellry Core, Ceramic and Tiling Core, Processional Core, Vestments' Core and Bonecretor Art Core.
The mission of the Public-Displayed Collection at the mother church of Lagoa is to study and preserve the Religious Heritage and, through it, to promote the Faith through Culture, namely through the present historical and artistic heritage, alluding to the life of Christ and his Church. In this way, it assumes its own permanent function, which develops in several formative coordinates: historical, aesthetic and spiritual.
The Public-Displayed Collection offers its visitors three itineraries:
- The House of the Church (Temple) [without guide]
- The Life of Christ (Bonecretor Art Core + Temple) [without guide]
- The life of Christ and his Church (Temple + 6 Cores: Figurine Art Core, Jewellry Core, Ceramic and Tiling Core, Processional Core, Vestments' Core, Bonecretor Art Core) [with guide]
